Dear Todd and family, my prayers are with you.
When Doris O. reported your situation to the church yesterday everyone joined Hope’s mom arround the alter for prayer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Martha, Hannah, and Isaac. I thank you for connecting us to your journey. I can’t begin to understand all of God’s plans but I know our faith in Him will hold us all together. Rachel and Justin (without prompting) in their individual goodnight prayers last night prayed for a healing hand from God and your care.
Todd I just want you to know I am praying for you at night and off and on during the day. I have always considered you a special person and enjoyed the years you were at the church in Bridgeton. Have asked for prayer for you with all my family and friends.
I know we haven’t stayed in touch since we both left the Rocky Mount District but know that you are on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers. May our Lord strengthen you and your family during this difficult time.

Joy put him on facebook and Jennifer has her church praying for him and I think they are getting in touch with other Methodist churches. Also all my friends have their churches praying for you all. Martha I have been following Todd,s journey every day and it,s hard to see all the pain he is going thru. I know you are too. All of us who are praying for him wish we could do something to help. When you ask for suggestions I just thought what would help me would be music the kind that stir your emotions or what ever kind is Todds favorite. Your family is always in my prayers. Brenda
Darlene Collins is my mother and had asked that you be added to our prayer list. We have your family in our thoughts and prayers. I have a friend who worked in the Cancer Center for a couple of years so I had asked her if there were any parking arrangements for families who are there for long periods and she encouraged me to share this information with you in case you are not aware of this:
Wendy, although nothing is available currently to assist with parking for patient families, please encourage anyone you know with cancer who come to UNC for care to seek out the Patient and Family Resource Center. They can answer questions, help families/patients navigate the system, and offer some comforts. As far as I know none of the resources cost anything for patients and their families.

You have been forever present in my thoughts and my ferverent prayers. I know that God has so much more for you to do so praying that this time doctors can find the one treatment that will kick this. Everyday I think of you and immediately hear the song “I will Praise you in the Storm” which seems so appropriate. Your kids were such a blessing to me and to see them now as I did at the benefit concert so strong in faith just strengthens my belief that you have much work left to do before you get to hear Him say “Well done my child”. I send you all the prayers for soon recovery.

We have so many great memories of your time at Bridgeton UMC to include the wonderful meals you helped prepare as fundraisers and the famous “ax handle” soup we created in the kitchen after Hurrican Fran. We still have the ax handle and it brings back fond memories. Your visit after I had breast cancer surgery at Cherry Point meant a great deal and helped me deal with a major challenge in my life. You and Martha enriched our lives. God bless you and your family.
